I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
